Meet The Founder

Hey there!

I’m Afraaz Haji, the founder of Aurora.

I’ve always believed the best way to learn business is to do business.
At 14, I started a social media brand from scratch and grew it to over 60,000 followers. A couple
years later, I helped launch a real estate brokerage and got involved in multiple other ventures.
Every project taught me more than any traditional class ever could, because I was learning by doing.

In high school, I brought that same mindset to DECA, where I competed, mentored others, and helped lead our team to winning over 30 awards. I had the incredible opportunity to represent Ontario at DECA ICDC. That experience changed everything for me. It showed me how powerful real-world business thinking can be, especially when it starts early.

Now, I’m a third-year student at Ivey Business School, and I’ve realized something: most students don’t get exposed to these kinds of skills until it’s too late. Schools do a great job covering theory, but what about the real stuff, analyzing problems, pitching solutions, working in teams, and thinking like an entrepreneur?

That’s why I launched Aurora, a virtual business program for students aged 13–17. We teach core concepts in marketing, finance, management, entrepreneurship and more through real case studies. Students don’t just learn about business... they do business.

We’ve designed Aurora to be engaging, practical, and accessible so that any student, regardless of background, can start building the skills that matter most.

If you want to get ahead in DECA, school, or life, Aurora is the place to start. Let’s get a head start in thinking big and solving real problems, because students have more potential than they’re often given credit for.
